It is difficult to sum up the extraordinary career of this musician: he has influenced the last three decades of music history, as improviser, composer, bandleader and, of course, pianist. He has been proclaimed “the most astonishingly innovative jazz pianist of the last decade” by Vanity Fair, “an elegant force of musical invention” by The L.A.
