One more international event, hosted in the garden of the Preganziol Municipal Library: here comes Jaak Sooäär trio. Guitarist Jaak Sooäär is recognized as one of the most active Baltic jazz musicians in recent decades. In 2004 he was one of the founders of the Estonian Jazz Union, which has promoted jazz in Estonia and Estonian jazz abroad with great success. Together with Armenian/Estonian double bassist Ara Yaralyan and Finnish drummer Markku Ounaskari, they founded the trio in spring 2016. The trio’s music is mainly focused on melody, performing Armenian music and some improvisations on themes by J. S. Bach.
